University of Melbourne – Arts West

Fabmetal’s next conquest was the fabrication of the Arts West façade system for University of Melbourne.

The complex façade spans from seven floors and approximately 250 tonnes of hot dip galvanised mild steel, featuring individually plasma cut steel fins that brings an additional 3D element to life from multiple angles.

This milestone landed Kane Construction the most prestigious award, Master Builder of the Year (Commercial) which Fabmetal Specialist was awarded Victorian Subcontractor Most Valuable Player 2017. Arts West was also awarded “AIA Educational Architecture Award”.
